Pero hoy vamos a alejarnos de los lugares más turísticos de la ciudad belga para adentrarnos en la calle más sorprendente de Gante, Werregarenstraat.

Ghent is one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium. Its city center is plenty of historical buildings and lots of charming corners.
But today I want to show you the most amazing street in Ghent, Werregarenstraat.
Este pequeño callejón es conido también como Graffitistraatje o calle de los graffitis y si paseas por él estarás atravesando una de las mayores muestras de arte callejero de toda Europa.
Aunque a primera impresión puede parecer una calle peligrosa, Werregaren straat es un lugar seguro al que acercarse.
El ayuntamiento de Gante cedió este espacio a los numerosos artistas urbanos de la ciudad para que pudieran dar rienda suelta a su arte alejados de los edificios históricos y es fácil encontrar a algún artista trabajando abiertamente a la luz del día.
Y lo mejor de este pequeño museo de arte callejero es que sus obras se renuevan constantemente. Así que ya sabes, puedes seguir visitando esta calle cada vez que viajes a Gante porque vas a encontrar sorprendentes obras nuevas en cada visita.

This litlle alley is known as Graffitistraatje and if you walk through there you will be in one of the best expositions of street art in Europe.
Although at first sight it can seem a dangerous zone, Werregaren straat is a sure place to go.
The government gave this space to the numerous urban artists in order to let them show their art freely, away from another historical buildings. It´s quite easy to find some artists working there exposed to the public.
However the best thing about this small urban museum is that its paintings are renewed constantly. So every time you visit Ghent, it won´t be the same anymore.
